This park is one of our regional parks. With sandy trails, hiking opportunities, beach access, and calm waters perfect for canoe and kayak launching, it offers a serene escape into untouched coastal nature. While swimming is permitted, there are no lifeguards on duty. Pets, except trained service animals, are not allowed in the park or on the public beaches to help protect the natural habitat.
North Lido Beach Park was acquired in 1977 through a City of Sarasota bond referendum with the intention of preserving it in its natural state. The park features 49 acres of upland Australian pine woods, open grassy savannahs, and winding walking trails, along with 22.5 acres of pristine beach and mangrove shoreline. Its protected bird‑nesting areas make it a valuable sanctuary for wildlife, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the scenery while taking care not to disturb these sensitive habitats.
