Payne Park Tennis Center (PPTC) is a staffed municipal facility open to the general public. All players wanting to participate in the recreation of tennis are welcome. We offer an amazing opportunity to enjoy tennis on 12 Har-Tru courts, in fabulous downtown Sarasota, at an economical price.

  - Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 8:30 pm
  - Friday: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm
  - Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm

• Singles & Double Play Welcome
• Advanced reservations required (online or phone); drop-ins allowed when courts are not reserved.
• Courts are available in 90-minute increments.
• Ball Machines are available for rent.
• Showers and lockers available.
• Hitting Wall is available for free.
• Court Thirteen Pro-shop and bar has racquet stringing, demo racquets, apparel as well as beverages, full bar and pre-packaged foods.

PLAYER PASS RATES*

Courts are available for one-time 90-minute use per day.

90 Minute Player Pass: $10 Adult, $5 Youth (17 and under)

3 Month Player Pass: $185 Adult

6 Month Player Pass: $350 Adult

Annual Player Pass: $500 Adult, $150 Youth

Annual Family Player Pass: $800 (Spouse & two dependents 17 or under)

Annual After 3pm (Mon-Fri) Player Pass: $300

TENNIS PROGRAMMING

We are proud to offer high-quality programs for tennis players of all levels and ages.  Please call ahead to confirm times and for more information. 

Our signature entry point for new players to Payne Park Tennis Center.  It’s a fun, friendly game of social doubles paired with equal level players. Sign up at the front desk or email Jerry.Krawchuk@SarasotaFl.gov to register.

We offer opportunities for kids of all ages to learn and improve their tennis skills and game.   We have beginner programs for ages 4-7 as well as programs for middle and high school players.  Programs are run by our tennis pros on a weekly basis.  Contact them for more information.

Our staff will help you get involved at Payne Park Tennis by arranging play with other equal level players.  Contact our front desk or email Bjorn.Turnquist@SarasotaFL.gov for help with arranged play.

Throughout the year we offer our own in-house leagues and tournaments for all skill levels with different formats.  Payne Park Tennis Center is also home to many USTA, Suncoast, Ultimate and other locally run leagues.  

Cardio and social tennis at it’s best.  Drop in format Sundays at 9:00am for fun, fast moving play.  Triples tennis is played with 3 people on a side using a decompressed ball.
