This park is one of our local parks. Pomelo Park has been beautifully transformed from its former use as a wastewater lift station into a welcoming neighborhood oasis. After the original station—built in the 1980s—reached the end of its service life, the area was re‑imagined as a public park that now offers a peaceful, landscaped setting perfect for walking leashed pets or meeting a friend for a casual picnic.
Street parking is conveniently available, and the park is easily reached on foot or by bike from the Hudson Bayou, Harbor Acres, and Avondale neighborhoods, making it a charming and accessible community spot for all to enjoy.
