In October 2024, Overtown Square, located in the heart of the Rosemary District on Central Avenue, between 5th Way and Boulevard of the Arts, opened to the public.  This park was named in honor of Sarasota's first Black neighborhood, Overtown.  The stunning new park is a tribute to the community's rich history and spirit. 

The development of Overtown Square was inspired by the vision of passionate Rosemary District members who sought to create a space for everyone to enjoy.
