The Sarasota Housing Authority (SHA), Sarasota Police Department, Target and Breeze Transit are partnering to provide 125 underprivileged children with a unique holiday experience to “Shop with a Cop” for holiday gifts in Sarasota.

Sarasota Police remove derelict vessel from Hudson Bayou
For more than three years, a 26-foot center console boat was submerged and tethered to a dock in Hudson Bayou. Dec. 1, officers with the Sarasota Police Department Marine Patrol lifted and towed the vessel to permanently remove it from the water.

Officers from the Sarasota Police Department Community Relations Unit spent part of Giving Tuesday giving away free gas to drivers throughout the City of Sarasota. The gas was paid for by the Sarasota Police Foundation and Crime Stoppers of Sarasota County.

Sarasota Police Officers Investigating Fatal Crash
The Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal crash that happened Thursday, Nov. 27, at about 7:50 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Fruitville Road and Tuttle Avenue for a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist.

Sarasota man arrested for three felony charges against three students
Cobie Bradley, 21, has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges after three students came forward regarding allegations that Bradley inappropriately touched them. Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.
